Client Name: Green Business Action
Type of Project: Energy Audits
Scope of Energy Audit
Sustain Quality conducted energy audits for small businesses through two key programmes: Hackney Impact Programme and Better Futures Programme in collaboration with Green Business Action, a subsidiary of West London Business. The purpose of these projects was to outline current practices and building states and recommend actions to improve energy performance.
Tools for Implementation
Energy audits were conducted to analyse current building fabric and systems in conjunction. The current state of the building and associated practices in terms of energy performance were then summarised and recommendations were made. A variety of sources were consulted, through meticulous and detailed research, to demonstrate potential savings from different changes.
Challenges for Task
The energy audits faced several challenges, including limited online resources, which required extensive research to gather accurate data. Securing funding from public and support organisations was also a challenge, as many small businesses relied heavily on financial support to implement the recommended improvements.
Solutions to Task
To address these challenges, thorough research was conducted, consulting various sources to overcome the limitations of online resources. A phased approach was formulated to implement the recommendations gradually, making it easier to secure funding and manage costs. Clear explanations of findings and recommendations were provided to help stakeholders understand the benefits and challenges of the proposed changes.
